Bryan, Andreas, and I drove across Germany on a Friday night to get to Amsterdam. It was around 8 hours or so, and well worth it.
The place is a buzz with architecture and a certain large degree of revelry that isn't seen in too many places in the world.
Tons and tons of sights and sounds... and for the 'illicit' behavior of most visitors, it is surprising how safe the city feels.
We walked. Tons. The Van Gogh Museum.. and the best 10€ you could spend.. at the Heineken Experience. You get three beers, a free gift, and they have pretty funny games along the tour. A must do..

Our hotel was a bit shady.. but clean enough to do the deed.
The pictures are better at stories than I am.
