We had to get up early on Monday because check out was at 12:00 and we had to be at the airport by 1:00 for our flight.

We walked all over the city in the morning. Will did some souvenir shopping and we went part way into Trinity College, we went into St. Stephen's Green shopping center.

I had a good time, got even more familiar with the Temple Bar district, saw more of Graffton St and the north side of the city....drank way too much beer

I took some pictures of Dublin, the Ha' Penny Bridge and some other things. We went back to the hotel finished packing and got a taxi to the airport.

At the airport we got something to drink and got Will one last pint of Smithwick's before our return trip to the States.

The flight was long and we were both tired, my stomach felt like shit and then we made the long 3 hour drive home from JFK.

So that was my trip to Dublin. I had a good time, got even more familiar with the Temple Bar district, saw more of Graffton St and the north side of the city. Drank way too much beer, figured out I need to stick more to whiskey next time or bring the heavy-duty stomach medicine. Dublin is also decorated very pretty for Christmas. There were tons of lights and decorations. All the pubs had their windows painted. There were outdoor craft markets and vendors. There was a produce market in Temple Bar.It was very nice.

Things I learned about Ireland this trip:

1. Temple Bar is a tourist trap but its also fun. You're pretty much guaranteed to see something funny or amusing. Have fun in Temple Bar but check out the nightlife in other parts of the city. I really liked Bruxelles on Graffton and Sin E on the North side of the Liffey.

2. Talk to the locals....... we got great pointers from the guy doing the tour at Jamesons.

3. Flirt with the local guys...sometimes they buy you drinks! LOL! Seriously though its fun to talk to the locals. Irish men are pretty funny and talkative guys, you can have some really great conversations.

4. Go in the pubs in the afternoon if you want some quiet time and you won't have to fight your way to the bar.

5. Budget yourself - drinking all your money by Saturday night sucks...especially when you have 2 more days left and have to eat. Plan ahead!

6. Irish banks are open odd hours, have a credit card you can withdrawl from.
