I had to get up today to see what I was going to plan for the day.  It was very gloomy and I didn't want to do anything outdoors.  I'm still trying to see what I can do about my fourth class.  Yvette and I went running to Strand and back.  It was a shorter run than I've been doing.  I think the pedometer read 4.2 miles total.  We walked through the Sommerset House where they had an ice rink.  We thought about skating a bit but it was 12 pounds/person!  And it was for a one-hour time period!  So we said no way.  We kept running east along the Thames and crossed on the blackfriar's bridge to the southbank and back to Gt. Dover.  Sacha caught me as I walked into the flat and mentioned that his friends were going out to a pizza place to celebrate two birthdays.  I decided to go because I had no plans for dinner and pizza sounded cheap and tasty.  But, when we got there I saw that all of their personal pizzas were 8 pounds!  It was a nice restaurant, similar to California Pizza Kitchen.  I ate a Pollo ad Astra pizza which had chicken, red peppers, red onions, garlic, and something else.  It was great, but not filling for the cost.  I was still hungry afterwards.  We all left and headed back to the apartments.  The restaurant was located on the southbank of the Thames about 10 minutes' walk from where we were.  For the rest of the night, I met more people and we all hung out together in the flat hallway.  It's not very conducive to hanging out, but because everyone is so fun to talk to I didn't care.

Yvette and I on the same spot but this time with the camera facing east. The city is beautiful at night. We're going to go to a club that overlooks the city on Thursday night so I'll be sure to bring my camera then as well!

We continued the normal chat about variances in accent, word use, etc.  Also, we hopped onto Google Earth and showed each other where we lived and tried to pinpoint the individual houses.  Sacha's dad is from Iran, Hao was born in China, Laura is about 40 minutes away, Laurenda showed us here village area in Ghana, and Melissa showed her house at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.  It's such a neat program.

I joined Laurenda and her friends Layli and ... somebody ... to watch "When Harry Met Sally".  Old movie with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.  Stayed up until about 2:30 AM and fell asleep.  Relaxing day overall.
