Procrastinating

Hi all! Instead of packing and actually getting ready to leave for France, I'm practicing blogging!! So far so good. I now own more neutral-colored clothing and closed-toed shoes than I have in my entire life. I keep having sudden flashes of words I have no idea how to say in French, like "washing machine" and "tablecloth" and "ironing board" and "post office" (I DO know how to say "corpse" three different ways though, and the difference between the narrator of a poem and a novel).

And I'm starting to get a little nervous because when people ask me where exactly I'm staying my answer is "I don't know", which is the same as my answer to what classes I'll be taking. Basically the only thing I do know is that I have a plane ticket to Paris on Saturday afternoon. Less than a week!!!

So between now and Saturday, I'll be packing, shopping, and trying to catch up on a few years of US politics and international affairs. (Right now I'd be lucky to say something coherent about that stuff in English- in French I'd have no chance).
