Apparently the city of Bangalore got its name when a poor woman fed a wandering king some boiled beans. He was inspired by her generosity and built himself a home, starting the city.

These days, Bangalore is one of the most modern cities in India, due in part to its thriving IT industry. From what I've seen so far, it also seems to be the most orderly, as far as traffic at least. There are actually signals that people obey, so you can cross the street without fear of death. They also don't seem to be constantly driving on the wrong side of the road to pass, but that may not be true outside the city center, I haven't been there yet. There are a lot of cars though, and with that is horrible pollution. Sometimes you have to cover your nose and mouth with a cloth because you just can't breathe.

I added a couple photos, but I'll write more later. Time to call it a night... ciao!
