We arrived in Innsbrück at about 7pm, organised our train to Paris while we were at the station - we are getting a quasi bunk bed to sleep on as it is an overnight train - costs about as much as a cheap hostel anyway, and this way we dont waste a day (12 hour train ride).

We got to our accomodation at around 8, and dropped our stuff in the room and went to find some food. We managed to find a nice little italian place just down the road, from which we had a pasta, a pizza, a beer and an apfelsaft for €20.

luckily we discovered some more punsch.

Guesthouse is really well located, the room we had - King bed, little bathroom and nice view over the city.  The lady running it was really unfriendly, but its not like we had to share a room with her.

Good sleep except for the church bell which dongs loudly every half hour.

Das Morgen we headed into the old town over the beautiful alpine blue river. Innsbruck is surrounded by picturesque snow-capped mountains. The city is quite small but there is easily enough to do in one day. We visited the famous golden roof, which has about 2,500 golden tiles (but was actually quite small) which added a subtle touch to an otherwise indifferent building. We went up the clock tower (148 steps) to get a better view at the city as a whole. Prettttttyyy. The golden roof was surrounded with christmas markets, which we explored, and we luckily discovered some more punsch.

We found a cool bead shop that sold portable shesha's but didn't get one this time.

We are now in Salzburg waiting for a train to Paris. (We got a quick train here because we were told that we would be better off waiting here than at Innsbruck). Should be interesting to see what our Liegenwagen is like. Hope to GOD its not smoky even though it is a non smoking room, it doesnt seem to stop people here.

Photo's are coming - we promise.
