Well this weekend went by very quickly.  I did accomplish tons of stuff that I wanted to get done.  I found a guitar, got new headphones, finally talked to kelly, and defeated jet lag.  Also on Sat. night all the guys dressed up in nice cloths to look better than the Europeans for once!  I have a pic of that somewhere.

The guitar was a mission in itself.  I had planned to get a guitar, but I didn't think it would be that difficult.  So I wondered the city a couple days ago with not site of a music store.  So I decided this weekend I would find one.  Me and Patrick went to the city on Saturday after everyone went grocery shopping.  Shopping anywhere on Sat. is crazy because everything is closed on Sunday's.  So just getting around the city was a mess.  Also the shops have very weird hours.  They open at 9 or 10 and close by 5 or 6.  Even the grocery stores.  Some things are open later on Thursday but thats only until 9.  It really different.  Anyway, so we went out shopping.  It was finally sunny which is something rare in Maastricht, and I took a couple pictures.  We have a very pretty church next to the dorms and I got a good pic of that.  Patrick was looking for a new coat because his got stolen from a pub in London.  Right away we found him a North Face coat.  It was really cheap!  Only 60 euro and in the US it would have been close to 200!  I almost bought one myself.  Then we were off to find the guitar.  I decided the best place to ask would be a CD store.  So we waited in line and they told us the name but he wasn't sure where exactly it was.  All he knew was it was called Daan Smith's and it was across the river.  We had to ask a florist lady on the street and she knew right where it was.  So we got there fairly easy.  I told the guy I wanted the cheapest acoustic guitar he had, and I got the guitar and a soft case for 101 euro.  Not a bad price.  The guitar plays ok but it doesn't hold its tune for very long.  But I was EXCITED I found it.

Mom, dad, and Kelly all called me today

I bought the new head phones on the way back from some weird computer and electronics shop.  They aren't the best but they only cost me 9 euro.  I can't remember if I told you, but I lost the rubber buds off my good headphones at the security checks.  The left one at NATO and the right one at the EU.

Finally as I was walking around, Kelly called to tell me she made it to Russia.  It was so nice to hear her voice.  I truly made my day!  We only got to talk for 12 min, but that was better than nothing.  Right as I started talking the bells on one of the churches began to ring, and it never stopped once for the entirety of the conversation.  I can't wait to see her in Russia.  She sounds like she is having a great time, and her family seems nice too.

And conquering jet lag.  I slept until 2 in the afternoon today which was well needed.  Mom, dad, and Kelly all called me today.  We finally figured out how to reach me and what numbers we need in my number and what numbers we don't.  I called kelly back at her new house, and her new brother Peter picked up.  She said he was about 33 and she lives with him and his mom.  All around it was a good weekend, and I am glad I'm all caught up.  I have a few pics to show everybody, so be sure to check those out.
