I was dropped at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport by my brother, who stood up early in the morning to bring me there. After receiving my travel package from the guy of the Travel Agency, I checked in my luggage and passed Customs. I had to wait for awhile, so I bought some magazines, a newspaper, a cup of coffee and a piece of apple cake (yummie!!).

After passing another check (yes, we're flying via the US), I entered the plane and found my seat. Here I met the other travellers of my group.

It's an adventure in itself!

The flight to Washington DC was not very comfortable. Leg space was very limited, which is not nice when you're almost 2 meter tall. But the service of the United Airlines staff made good a lot.

After landing in Washington DC at Dulles International Airport we were all directed to US Customs. It's an adventure in itself! After filling in two forms, answering some question, leaving some fingerprints and receiving a stamp in my passport, I was allowed to go further. Just to find out my luggage was waiting there for me between all other bags of a lot of other people. After collecting my luggage I towed it for almost a hundred meter, where it was checked again :S. After leaving my luggage there we were directed to the waiting room for our next flight.

The flight from Washington DC to San José was much more comfortable. After about 4 hours flying we landed at Aeropuerto Juan Santamaria, close to San José. After passing another Customs we were welcomed outside the airport by Martijn, our tourleader.

Stepping in our bus quickly and moved on to our hotel. After checking in at the hotel, we went to a bar to have a small drink.

Although I had been travelling for about 14 hours, I couldn't fall asleep. This should stay this way until Samara.
