I finally arrived in Bangor after a small train ride. Looking at my lonely planet, They were saying that the YHA was not very far from the station! So I began my trek to find this YHA!

The first thing that I can see is that Bangor is not very touristy...There's no tacky shop selling tourists crap. It's a small town wales! Which is very nice!

Not a touristy town...

Another thing you can't miss when you stroll around town is the University which on a hill and overlook the whole city! Nice place to put a Uni! It was founded in 1884 because of the need for the welsh to obtain higher education. At the start there was 58 students and 12 teachers.

After walking for around 25 minutes. I'm starting a climb and the rain is starting... I finally arrived to the YHA who is hidden behind a small forest. When I finally hit the door...no answer! After five or six knocks, I saw a nice lad coming for me and informing me that I will be the only guest for the night! Fine!

After being able to remove my backpack from my sore shoulders, I decided to go for a stroll in town!

I went to the Victorian Pier which is probably the hanging spot for a lot of teens during the summer but it was deserted! A small box ask you to put 1 quid to go on the Pier...A guy is probably waiting in a pub right next to the pier and collecting the change every now and then to buy himself a new pint...So I put 20 pennies.

I don't feel bad at all!

From the Victorian Pier I could see the Menai Bridge, a very imposing bridge that connects the Mainland Wales to Ilse of Anglesey. The construction of the bridge was started in 1819. Telford was the architect of the project.

As the sun fall down on Bangor, I was sitting having a nice pint of bitter in a working class pub of Bangor. A lot of people were looking at me as I ordered my beer and sit at the bar to drink it!

It was close to 8pm when I said goodbye to all my new friends and I trek back to the hostel to see a castle lit up.

That would be a nice excursion for tomorrow after my day in Beaumaris.

I fell asleep reading my lonely plannnnnnnnnn!
