It was a long old hitch to get here. Took a while to get round lake Superior. Funnily enough I had heard a story when I was hitching in Oz about the toughest hitching spot in the world - this road round the lake. There is a place called Wawa where legend has it a hitch-hiker never left. Nothing sinister - he met a local girl, they fell in love and he stayed! I passed through wawa pretty quickly. the roads are long and lonely, surrounded by forest - you can see why people don't pick up hitch-hikers. I did eventually get picked up - by the guy who took the shot - he was a bit of a loon / very excitable person...but very nice at the same time. He took me all the way to Ottawa and even to a hostel. he then bought me lunch! What a nice guy...
Spending a few days here then off to Quebec and Montreal
Long lonely days hitch-hiking :O(
