Wind again, to the side, so all new muscles start to hurt. On a mountain top we had a great view of Burgos in the distance, so we figured, hey lets go see that close up. In the third or so village met up with the Aussies in a bar, had coffee and leapfrogged our way into town. In Burgos we couldn´t find the turn off for the scenicv route, so miles and miles of pounding the pavement. It is misery on the feet, and on the eyes, rather industrial area. We finally reached the older section of town, so beautiful. The Cathederal is unbelievably amazing, so gorgeous. So frilly and decorative, like lace out of stone in a way. We were meant to stay by it but some kind of structural issues and they had shut the albergue down, so we had to leave to find the other one. Finally did in the middle of a city park, then back out for food. Thank goodness for our magic cream though. All the markets and pharmacies and everything except bars were closed, despite signs saying they should be open. So OK, no food, but we went into a YMCA type thing on Joel´s suggestion and they had a cafe with some food, YAY! So we ate and then some net and then it was spring forward so we went to bed at 10, which was really 9, mentally.

Gorgeous Cathedral
