we went to the bavarian castles today. it is the first sunny day since july according to the tour guy and the first time that they had removed the scaffolding for schloß neuschwanstein. it was a really incredibly beautiful day. the alpsee lake was just glorious in the afternoon, a beautiful blue green and mystical in the evening, a dark mirror for the spectacular alps and the symphony of clouds.

münchen is a beautiful city. the parks are rather amazing. the englischer garten actually reminded connie of old english paintings of parks. it is a clean city too, considering how many people visit and live here. the residence was surprising. the reconstruction after the war is inspiring. we were both very happy we spent yesterday doing a bike tour of the city.

we are on our way to athens tomorrow. our flight is early :O
