Kennywood

Kennywood –
For Mother’s Day Daniel and I took our parents to see a show at a local dinner theater. So for Father’s Day I wanted to do something just as fun. So we took a journey to Kennywood in Pittsburgh, Pa.
it ate my 3d glasses in the first minute
For me this amusement park was one of the strangest things I’d ever seen. Kennywood sits right in the middle of the city. From the top of coasters you can see homes and stores. It unusual location is due to its history as a trolley car stop.

It turns out kennywood is fat kid friendly. We arrived around 3 o’clock and proceeded around the circuit until we finished at the phantom. First of all, we got on the jack rabbit. Dani and I rode in the front seat of the coaster. It was fun, I hadn’t been on a wooden roller coaster for quite a long time. It was still short and not as impressive as most other roller coasters but it was fun to go on. Next we went to the racer, which is everyone’s favorite racer coaster, however they changed the seating or something and it hurt to squeeze my fat butt into the seat. Next we got on the thunderbolt, which redeemed itself as my favorite wooden coaster ever. We rode that many times over, because there were barely any people in the park. It threatened to rain… so not many. Next we moved on to the painful phantom. They changed it since I had last been on it, it had been one of my favorite coasters in existence, but they changed it a couple years ago. It felt like they failed to plan it out very well, and just said screw it when they completed the ride… basically all they did was take out the loops and semi helix and left in the bumps where they should be. Even if I barely had fit in the butt mold it still would have hurt… we did two other things that I remember, first we went through the freak show that was noah’s ark… lol it was like hanging out with paul… just really goofy. And lastly we went through the worst contraption ever…. Garfield’s nightmare…. Oh my gosh what a waste…. It’s a boat ride in the old mill ride they had had there for like a century. All the walls are painted floresent, and the wooden boat almost tipped over on us like five times. Even worst it ate my 3d glasses in the first minute so I failed to see the wonderfulness of the ride….. all in all kennywood was fun, but there was no gangster riot.
