Another sleepless night, this time because  my neighbors  in the  next room  decided to  have an argument around midnight, at least i think it was an argument, it could have been a contest to see who could say Mother F****ing the most times in one sentence, eventually a winner must have been decided, and all went quite and i drifted off to sleep. Thats when the alarm clock that is supplied ''for the guests  comfort and convenience'' went off. After stabbing at it a few times in the dark, i managed to subdue its demonic shrieking, and as i lay back to drift off again, i had the certain feeling that i had merely managed to put it in to ''snooze'' mode, and sure enough nine minutes later it started again, by now i knew that i would have to get out of bed to find a bucket of water to put it in,or switch it off properly. Blissful sleep lasted for a couple of hours before ''next door'' decided on a second round  f the Mother F***ing game, i would guess the ''make up''sex did not come up to expectations ''You call that mother F***ing make up sex, you no good Mother F***ing Mother F***er, let me tell you a thing or two you F***ed up Mother F***er'', etc, etc. They also seemed to be playing hide and seek, because this time it was accompanied by the repeated banging of doors, given that there  was only the bathroom or the wardrobe to hide in, i don't think they were very good at that either. This being America,i fully expected to hear a gun shot at any moment, and to be frank if i had a gun i would have lent it to them!

As part of my revised route i have decided to forget about following the Atlantic Coast route down to Richmond, which would have taken me through Baltimore and Washington, before joining the Transcontinental  Route, and as i had by chance already ridden 9 miles towards it, i decided to head for Gettysburg today. It meant  just heading down the expressway 30, with not much chance to see much except the back end of every passing truck, but it would get me from 'A' to 'B' relatively quickly. I have already found that this trip will be a balance between nice interesting riding along minor roads, or mile devoring expressways.

One unexpected sight, was that this being a Saturday, the locals were doing what Americans do best, and that was  getting out on the road and burn some gas in any way shape or form they can. The unease i felt yesterday by the presence of so many motorcycles, was replaced by admiration for the gut rumbling bad assed machines that glided up and down the road, the riders mostly with out helmets and certainly in nearly 90 degrees none in leathers, and as i gazed at he little chickadees riding pillion with tops flapping in the wind showing off their tattoos,i wondered what would happen to those works of art if the ground decided to do its 'cheese grater' effect on them . More often than not if two bikes came down the road it was a 'his and hers' commination (to be continued)

Take it from an apartment dweller with alcoholic neighbors --- not having a gun is no excuse to not join in the fun. F-the-MF is a group game! Think how many more creative uses of the phrase might have been discovered if you had just banged on the wall and asked for a little m**f*** quiet. It can really liven up the game....

Oh god, snarky gun comments and wasteful yankee bitch slaps are soooo 2006. Good to hear it seems you didn't partake in the 3-hour walking tour of the battlegrounds. I suffered through that when I was 14. Still yawning. Just yawned again. Has anyone um, mentioned your um, rather controversial tattoo?
