Our trip to Interlaken was both beautiful and frustrating. Most of the way we ran along lake Geneva with the alps as a backdrop but frustratingly we were not told about train changes etc which made it somewhat stressful. Eventually we arrived in Interlaken but it was dark outside so we were excited to wake up the next day and hopefully see some amazing mountains.
We stayed at a place called Walters B and B and the owner (funnily named Walter) just happened to be one of the greatest people we have met on our travels. He was so loud and friendly! He made us feel extremely welcome and his place was nice so we decided to extend our stay for a couple of nights (he also gave us some free toblerone!).

From our room we got a glimpse of the magnificent Swiss Alps. We slowly got the energy to get out of bed and headed into town to organise our stay. At the info centre we got some bad news that the weather was going to be bad while we were here and this would affect sightseeing and adventure activities (The main reason David wanted to come here). So we had to make a hasty decision to jump off the side of a mountain that afternoon (we were going paragliding!!). Meagan was packing herself and she even turned down Davids offer of some courage chocolate! After 45 mins from deciding we were going to do it we were picked up by the company. As some others were just landing some asian tourists saw them and decided then and there that they wanted to do it so they quickly joined us (One of them was the funniest men we have ever seen - "I dont know...maybe the toilet?"). We went up the mountain past some beautiful villages with timber chalets and then walked to our starting point. From there we basically harnessed up, ran for a bit and then kicked back and enjoyed the amazing views of the Swiss alps and the glacial lakes. It was such an amazing experience and we still cant believe that Meagan 'Im scared of the ferris wheel cause of the height' Condratoff actually did it.

The info people were right and the next day was incredibly wet and windy. We somehow braved the weather and went to the bast market where we indulged in the greatest garlic bread ever and a fantastic bratwurst. Later that day we went to a swiss chocolate show where the chocolatier gave us so many chocolates it wasnt funny. Meagan was very un-Meagan like and actually pushed through people because she was worried she might miss out of some free samples. That night the snow started to fall and in the morning it was a winter wonderland. This was great because everything looked great but bad because it made visibility so poor that it was not worth venturing into the mountains to explore other areas. Still it made us actually slow down and relax and beacuse of this we had one the best times ever in Interlaken.
