DAY 14 Los Banos to Monterey

Another promt start and we head for the Pacific Ocean.

Some brief rain and Slasher complains of the cold - but is coastal sea mist / fog.

Finally - the we arrive on the real west coast - Californian Hells Angels President just killed before we arrive!

We arrive in Monterey and go straight to the sea - putting our boots into the water. A surf board rider tells us its very cold - but not us cold as Britain!

We leave the beach as there us no sun or warmth and head for Fishermans Wharf. Have a great breakfast on the Pier - meet a very interesting Californian who fills us in on local knowledge, the meaning of life and the recent death of the Head of the Californian Hells Angels. Hawk is keen to go to the funeral, but we all advise that a BMW appearance will cause a stir.

Later we get invited to a BMW ride out the following day - we decline.

We go to the world famous aquarium started by the daughter of Hewlett Packard -  an excellent  experience - great things to see and you get very close to the fish.

We see a take off on Forest Gumps babba shrimp resturant and decide to stay the night after visiting nearby Camel where Clint Eastwood is the Mayor.

We find a great Best Western and go out with our best and only shirts for a night on the tiles. We certainly get it - lots of booze and music. We enjoy ourselves so much that Hawk refuses to let us eat again - talk to most people in the bar and get home at about 4.00am - blotted.
