Living by my-monstrous-self

I immediately liked my little town.  I bought a spankin new bike (mama-chari) and liked my foreigner counterpart, Duncan "jogging bottoms" Wilson.  I joined the local taiko group called Sorin Daiko and also a futsal team with a bunch of BOE and city office workers.  I practice 2 times a week for both activities and had a couple performances and tournaments to keep me busy on the weekends.

I also found enjoyment in traveling to Oita ("the city") every once in a while and staying out until wee hours of the morning.  (last train to tsukumi is like 10:40...so the 3:30 rapid became familiar fast).

Sometimes people pick up the jellyfish and throw them at their friends...

I also went to a few festivals in my town.  We have a matsuri with special folding fans that you dance with. i dressed up in a summer yukata and attempted to follow along.  I also went to school sports festival and culture festivals.  they were all really fun and the kids are really cute.

I had some visitors early on and we explored a bit of the peninsula.  We hiked up mountain trails, ran away from big-ass bugs, and dodged jellyfish in the ocean.  All in all, super fun!  and ice cream!  :)

On slow days, or days i needed a rest, I'd hang around my apartment.  Old, but fine for me.  I had to get used to cleaning, doing laundry, cooking, showering daily (because of the humidity)...

housewife wanted!  must LOVE cooking, cleaning, listening to (my) music, listening to (my) whining, living on a little island on the outskirts of nowhere.  (boys under 5'8'' and/or under 21 need not apply...)
