Arriving

I was finally able to take my son to Disneyland for his 8th Birthday.  He had no idea until we left for the airport at 5am on the 24th of August.  We flew the non-stop flight on Horizon from Spokane to LAX. I really like this flight, it is not very long.  You can settle in watch a decent length movie on your portable DVD player and then you are there.

We arrived at the hotel aroung 9:45 and the front desk service was wonderful.  We were able to store our bags and hop over to the park right away.

As for getting into the park, I decided that we were going to get annual passes.  I had heard of people that visit the park once a year, get these passes and use it the first time and then take their next annual trip right before it expires.  You also get discounts with the pass depending on which one that you get.

We had no trouble getting ours as Disney has changed the way that they do tickets now and it is so much for the better.  We bought ours online and we immediately were able to print out our temporary tickets.  The temp tickets get you into the park the first day and you head over to the bank of main street and get you actual passes after you get into the park.  Also on your temp pass is your annual passholder number, that you can use to book tours, ect and get your discount.  Before you couldn't do any of this until after you got to the park and got your actual pass.

The rest of the day and the next were just normal enjoying the park days.
