Hey Everyone!!!

I wanted to update you!!  We just about to start our first official assignment tomorrow in Millington, TN.  We are going to be working Opportunity Camp, a camp for underpriviliged children. It is going to be a lot of fun, but a challenge.   Most of the students are people who have just moved from various countries.  It will be interesting.  Please pray that we will be able to make a difference in their lives and that they will see a difference in our lives and that the kids will ask questions and that we will have answers.   I am really excited.

And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:15

We had a awesome week of VBS and various other training last week.  We also had a lot of fun.  We went to the Parthenon and just got to know the whole group better asking random questions while drinking Starbucks.  We went to Deer Run Camp with the other 56 collegiate summer missionaries  serving in Tennessee this summer.  We had a camp fire and worshiped with Dave Hunt.

The theme for the week was How Beautiful our feet are.   I really love a new song that I learned last week.  It has such amazing lyrics.   It is by Mike Harland.  The song title is Jesus to the world.  I love all of it, but I am love the chorus, so I am going to share it with you.  I am going throughout Tennessee with One Mission, One Message, to Reach One More.

I love that!!  How beautiful our feet are to go on mission with God, with one message and proclaim to all the world.  I am honored to be on mission with God and let him control my summer.

Friday, we finished up all of our training and they finally split us up into teams.  It was really sad to leave the other group.  We all really hit it off.  But, I love my team and look forward to seeing what is in store for us both this week and the rest of the summer.

I wanted to Introduce you to Tennessee Travel Team Exalt (my team), if I write something about them you will know them a little better.  David Wickiser is our team leader and driver; he is Biblical studies Major with a Emphasis in Greek and Hebrew and goes to Union University.   He is a great leader with a great heart.  Mikaela Owens-Hughs is a missionary kid.  Her parents are serving currently in Columbia, South America.  She has lived in. Brazil, Aruba, Venezula, and Columbia.  She has a magnetic personality and is so much fun to be around.  She is a History Major at Union University.  Then there is Ashley Pirtle, she is a coffee lover.  She also has a great personality and is a lot of fun to be around.  She is a Political Science Major and Interculture Studies minor at Union University.  Last but not least, David  Deaton, is a great person to have on the team.  He is really funny.  He has a great testimony, that I believe will be used to touch lives of many this summer.  He goes to UT Martin and is a Visual Communications Major and Graphic Design minor.  There is my team.  I am so excited to serve with them.

The other team is Team Proclaim:  there team  includes Abby Ross (team leader and driver), Amanda Prichett, John Winfree, Scarlett Spurgeon, and Jeremy Wilson.  Please be praying for them also as they travel the state working at VBS's and camps and helping with various other events just like we are.

I am going to go prepare and get some rest before staying in the cabins all week with the Girls at Opportunity Camp.

Please be praying for the kids that will be coming to ask questions and that God will truely do some amazing God things.  Pray for all of us to be prepared for all that is in store for us this week.  We really do not know what to expect.  Thanks for your prayers.  I will update you when I have access to the internet again.

Hey Courtney, Yay TEAM EXALT!!!!! We are praying for you. I can hardly wait to hear how God is using you this next week. It will be amazing. I know the Holy Spirit is already preparing those tender, little hearts. My prayer is that you each will be sensitive to the Father's voice and then obedient to His call. He will take away all the barriers. God is in Control!!! Love you, MOM and DAD

Hey Courtney! I am so excited to see the makeup of the teams. This first assignment sounds like a challenging one, but God is faithful. He will do it when you think you cannot! Love you, Vicki
