Okay, my fellow journeymen and journeywomen, another excellent adventure from the traveling retirees and wow has it been an adventure! Hooking up the car and motoring out of Yellowstone, we exited by the East entrance and as of yet, this was our most harrowing experience.
10% grade for 5.5 miles down to the welcome center and in some places 30 mph curves which caused my muscular buttockus to grip the fine corinthian leather of my driver's chair. Halfway down the mountain passes, 50 ft. of guardrail had been damaged by some unfortunate soul who decided to straighten a hairpin curve and yodel all the way to the bottom. Cowabunga!
Was that a buffalo, naw, just a cow with a beard and a hairdo like liberace!

And of course, the template for indicating dangerous curves and roadways is Poots making her entrance, wailing like a banshee, and leaving her mark on the carpet. As for Teds, she stayed in the fetal position sucking her thumb. Bless their hearts - they can't help it!
On to Cody, Wyoming and the nightly rodeo, daily gunfight by Buffalo Bill Cody, Wild Bill Hickock, and Wyatt Earp. Cody was wonderful and Old Town was a menagerie of old buildings that had been assembled to portray how Cody may have looked before the invention of bricks. The most impressive of all was the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum with western art, Buffalo Bill's history, plains indians, and a gallery of firearns all of which is something everyone should see. We really had a good time.

Pictures may be limited as the memory card malfunctioned, but we may be able to recover them later. Hope so!
Next stop, Thermopolis, Wyoming and another good stay as well. Had an opportunity to swim in one of the hot thermal springs for about 30 minutes and the results were fantastic. My lumbago, arthur-itis, burrsitis and all the other miscellaneous "iteses" that come along with retirement has mysteriously melted away. It's a miracle! Met some of the town folks and they were friendly and helpful. Hated to leave!

But leave we must- so hop on, let's go to Mount Rushmore, Rapid City, SD, the badlands and to see Crazy Horse monument, who as a young man was an Army Scout and when discharged his paper stated: "Dangerous when drunk, worthless when sober". Hmm. Sounds like some of my acquaintances. Mount em up, let's go!
