My friend Nobu shares the same birthday as me, so we decided to have a little celebration.  We went to an awesome bar/restaurant called Redwood in Oita.  They have super delicious food and drinks!!  and the owners are friends with Nobu.  We actually ended up taking over the whole restaurant because there were so many of us.  Nobu ordered a really cute cake and gave me pretty flowers at midnight when it was really our birthday!  We had a pink and black theme...and, luckily, our beloved friends participated!  Pink nail polish and lipstick (courtesy of Doron!)and even baby joined in on the fun (Utako!).  We also participated it lots of eating and drinking.  haha

Afterwards we went to PEI and met up with more friends.  Tsukumi ALTs (duncan and I), Usuki boys (anthony and matt), and Lindsey (holla Hita!) tried to make the 3:30 train back to our neck of the prefecture...but the Usuki boys and I missed the train and got DITCHED by Duncan and Lindsey.  haha  I was trying to get a bag of stuff out of a locker and the boys were trying to buy tickets.  So...we ended up sleeping in a tiny booth at the internet cafe by the station.  I didn't sleep at all...but my two friends slept pretty soundly (especially anthony...haha).  I couldn't wake them up for the 6:20 train, but managed to get them moving for the 7:04 train or whatever.  I was a monster...haha but had a memorable, and fun, 24th birthday.

'We saw this in Nagasaki and thought of you' - (Ippei after he gave me a bottle of Chinese alcohol with 2 lizards in it. BARF! i STILL can't look at it!)
