Mui Ne was so boring.  Went there with the Chinese girls we met on the Mekong Delta day tour.  It was our first bus trip with TM Brothers, the first of many horrible bus trips.  We got on the bus in Saigon and sat there for an hour.  Then the bus took off and we all cheered.  It went around the block and then parked back in the same place for half an hour.  We arrived in Mui Ne 2 hours late at TM Brothers Cafe which was in the middle of no where.  Some Vietnamese guy had a punch up with the driver when we got there, so at least they provided entertainment.  James then had to hop on the back of a moped and go scout for accommodation.  Then he came back, we all got on a bike (with our backpacks on!) and headed to the guesthouse.  This was run by a Chinese family living in Vietnam, the reception room was their lounge room and we had to bow to the old Grandmother when we went in.

The guesthouse was up the dodgy cheap end of Mui Ne, the beach was disgusting and had orange floaty stuff in it.  Had a look at the fairy stream which was very polluted and then headed to the Golden Sand Dunes for the sunset which was beautiful.  Little kids rented us these plastic board things to go down the sand dunes on.  They went so slow, it didn't work well.  Lots of Japanese tourists came to watch James go down, and took photos of him.

Had dinner at a great seafood restaurant with the girls.  Was great, except the waiters thought I said pork, but I said prawns.  Oh well.

Next day, hung out with Kevin and Catherine (the Canadians from Saigon) at their hotel's beach (they had deck chairs).  Was so boring, went and booked a bus out the next day!

we arrived early this arvo and after the hustle n bustle of hcmc i am more than grateful for a more slow paced enviroment. still rather exciting as it was my first experience on a motobike vietnam style - 2 bikes, 2 drivers, 2passangers, 2 LARGE suitcases, 2 small suitcases, 1 backpack, 1 laptop, 1 handbag and 1 camera bag....and we made it! it's wet season so the water is not so idyllic, but coming from an australian winter the heat it so good i couldn't care less about the rain. it seems to me that yourself and james should have vacationed elsewhere. it does not appear to me as though you had a particularly bad experience so why place such a negative review for a place that is clearly not for your kind. get a life!

Sounds like someone needs more wine with their whine. Nha Trang is the action beach for the bored out while we will be yawning at The Wax Bar in Mui Ne overlooking the Strand in a perfect muse thinking about our perfectly boring days. No whine, just Saigon Beer thank you.
