THANK GOD. Done with that farm. The time actually passed a lot faster than I anticipated it would on day one. And boy am I thankful for that. I enjoyed myself, I really did. I learned a lot about composting, self-sustainability, and what it takes to run a farm. The other WWOOFers were by far the best part of the experience for me. If not for them, I may have gone mad.
I spent a lot of time over the last few days with the Tico family down the way. With them, I milked cows, cleaned pig pens, and watched the whole honey-making process. It was incredible. I love that family so much. The mom, Luz, invited me to come back in 2010 for her daughter's quinceniera (sp?).

It has rained lightly almost each afternoon, which has been lovely. I take the horses out for about two hours after lunch and just run them up and down the red hills, going nowhere in particular, passing shack after shack, each brightly colored, with their front door open, TV cranked up, and animals of all sorts running about the yard. I will miss this southern costa rican countryside and lifestyle. But I will be back. And I feel that I really do have a home here, with Luz and Guillermo.
I am in San Isidro right now, where rain is pounding hard on the tin roof of this cramped internet joint. Tonight I am staying in a hotel with the Swedish couple. Then I will get up at the crack of dawn and travel all day to meet Kimberly in Tamarindo. I can't wait! A familiar face! Ciao
