The first Few Weeks

Ok, so I thought I'd update you on what I've been doing in the last couple of weeks since I left you all and the best way for me to do that was a blog. I got to sydney on 17th Sept at 9am and after eventually getting through interrogation at quarantine which is kind of like a supermarket checkout and getting my visa sorted I jumped on the 40 bus to Bondi Junction and stayed just off Coogee Beach for the first night and pretty much slept through, the 30 odd hour flight was a bit of an ordeal!

Second day I travelled about an hour out of Sydney to stay with some friends of the family on Bilgola Beach for 4 days, weather was really crap for all  but one of the days though so I just spent it looking into how I was going to travel up the coast and feeling a bit sorry for myself!

I then came back to stay on Bondi Beach with a  photographer for a few nights, his apartment overlooks the beach and I was made to feel really welcome, over the next couple of days I did the tourist thing and went to see the Harbour Bridge, Rocks, Darling Harbour and the Opera House. I met up with a french guy (JM) by chance having a couple of beers one night on Bondi and he was talking about just buying a van and wanting to travel up the coast so I thought I might not get a better chance and if I left it too long I'd end up spending all my money in Sydney and having to get a job so we decided to leave early morning on the 25th on our adventure up the coast.
