A stopover in Munich

It was summer and I was on my way back from India after spending a fortnight there. It was a quick relief from the blistering hot weather (+45 C) which had enveloped the north of India in the last week of my stay there. returning to relatively cooler Germany (at about +30C) it was a beautiful feeling, with everything a lush green and mesmerizing blue sky. Europe was definitely in summer and the 6-8hrs that I spent near the Marienplatz (city center) were truly amazing. The fountains were fully operational and children were dancing in the center of it... moreover it was a sunday and most of the people, were enjoying their cups of afternoon coffee, beers, the sun and more beers...

English Garden or the Beer gardens was a beautiful place to spend an hour. as was the metro tour to the Olympic stadium and the Allianz WC Football ground!

Was back in helsinki past midnight after taking a late evening flight out of Munich.
