From Our Grand European Vacation 2007 in London, United Kingdom on May 15 '07
We arrived on time on the Eurostar. What a great 'flight'.
We had to que up (stand in line) for nearly 30 minutes for a taxi in London. The hotel we stayed in was The Trafalgar, located right at Trafalgar Square and two blocks from Her Majesty's Theatre. We went to see Phantom of the Opera there. WOW! What terrific seats...front row, center.
On Friday, we caught the 'coach' from Victoria Coach Station to Southampton. The coach is a bus...just in case you are wondering. Again, it was another que to board the ship...and what a ship she is!
The weather is a bit overcast. The captain has reported that there is a storm off the coast of Scotland that may affect our voyage...stay tuned! Who cares, we have a welcome bottle of champagne from Cunard, a great table and fun table mates. We are ready to begin this new adventure!
