Oh, Edinburgh, oh Edinburgh... You used to seem so far away, now it almost feels like home after how far we've been! After an absurd amount of traveling from Singapore to Frankfurt to Edinburgh, my lovely pregnant sister, Katy, and my little neice, Anna, rescued us from our travels... and it was sunny! In Scotland! We met up with her husband, Rob, and went to this great little bar where I could eat nachos, curly fries and 2-4-1 Veuve Cliquot to my little heart's desire. They say going to Asia is culture shock, but this was almost more shocking being overloaded with all of my favorite things after so long!

My parents arrived a few days later and we all went out to the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival, which was SO much fun. The weather was perfect, which worked out great because you walk everywhere in Edinburgh. The music was great, the food was fantastic (big greasy hot dogs and fries - I guess I am an American girl, after all), the beer was cold and the company was even better!

I guess I AM an American girl, after all...

Great times in Edinburgh. Being able to be greeted by my family before I'm even back to the states was so great. We had been traveling for a loooong time. Just check out the pictures because I will probably just keep writing about how good the food was (and this is Scotland we're talking about!). Oh, the mussel place we went to... alright, just look at the pictures!
