The most beautiful and romantic castle we visited on our ABC tour (another bloody castle) was Cawdor Castle. As we Jenkins are from the "sept" Campbell of Cawdor, this logically has to belong to our family, so of course it was exceptional!
Beautifully furnished and still used as a home, this small but comfortable and cosy castle was stunning, set in beautiful grounds, a lovely walled garden, maze - all the boxes were ticked.
