Arrived from Sydney on Jetstar (35 pounds). The airport at Avalon is a cow shed and it took about 40 mins to get to the centre of Melbourne on the free (got an unrequired return ticket from the passenger sitting next to me on the plane!) shuttle bus. The landing was one of the worst I've experienced as there was a rainstorm as we came in. Mike picked me up from Spencer Street. Am staying at his place in Richmond for a few days. Weather is cold and overcast. :(
