Hi guys!!!

im having fun and working soooo hard like 7 hours a day- manual labour!

Ive seen lots of mama turtles and ive helped moved nests to the hatchery a more secure location, but during the day we also have to make the hatchery. its incredible how much work weve done in just two weeks, wever created a wooden fence to act as a sea wall against the high spring tides and built a fence to keep out predators such as racoons. its surprising how many nests are destroyed in this way. it was quite upsetting the otherday when we took a walk along the beach to check out some nest and saw that one nest had been destroyed- it was my nest that i had relocated on my first day of work. but yesterday was a happy turtle- we checked on a nest in which some (94) hatchlings hatch from the day before so see if the remaining 8 eggs in the nest had hatched and we found another baby! so we brought it back to life and helped it to the ocean- its the baby in the picture!
