Gongju likely base for a couple of days, to cycle up around Magoksa temple and historical Buyeo... if the weather's good and I'm not ready for Seoul yet, then I may head to Malippo or Daechon for beach and seafood...

Arrived in Gongju, and headed straight for the fortress... more walking, more uphills, more humidity, more sweating... at least it's not raining, I guess...

not just a light sprinkle of rain

Plan is to walk in Gyeryongsan NP on Sunday, rain or shine, for the 3 hours from Gapsa temple, over Sambulbong, and down to Dongkhasa temple... near Dongkhasa temple, there's hot springs so I'll h ave a soak before heading back to Gongju

UPDATE - when I said rain or shine, I am really baulking at the idea of bucketing down rain, as it is now... perhaps my "Plan D" of yesterday will kick in... especially since I'm checking weather forecasts and seeing 90% chance of precipitation today, tomorrow afternoon will clear, before heavier on Tuesday, more rain on Wednesday, clearing Thursday... head back to Seoul for a few days, do the shopping I'd planned on (this may become an expensive trip !), even see a movie... then travel real light with only a daypack Thu/Fri/Sat back down around this area... maybe to Buyeo or Magoksa on Thu morning, on to Deacheon Beach for the night for a mud-pack and seafood, then up to Mallipo on Friday, before heading to Seoul on Saturday night for a Sunday flight
