I only spent two day in Vietnam an that was only because we missed the bus thee first day.  Imagin walking down a street that has many hotels with signs that say vacancy but when you enter to inquire you are told no vacancy.  This is what our experience was unpon arrival in HCMC.

I had a woman holding a vacancy sign in her had but when I walked up the sign was quickly flipped over and when I inquired of room availabilty her response was no vacancy.  I of course asked her about the sign that she was hold in front of me.  She then put the sign down and waived her sands staing no vacancy.  It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what was going on here.

No Vacancy!

I finally found a hotel with a room.  We got our packs from the cab and then all of a sudden we were being beckoned to come inside "we have rooms".  No one said a word when they saw me walking from door to door but now because they see the back pack we are welcome.  I just shook my head in disbelief.  As soon as we got settled and showered we made plans to leave Vietnam as soon as possible.

We didn't wonder around or look at any sights; we just stayed in our room and only came out to eat.  What a miserable experience this was.
