A city of amazing views will be our enduring memory of Rio. With the thermometer nudging 41 degrees centigrade we took the cog train to Corcovado, to the statue of Christ the Redeemer, a beautiful sculpture overlooking the city with great panoramic views. The cable car ride to Sugar Loaf just reinforced the spectacular location of Rio, with the Atlantic Ocean, beaches, mountains and rainforest-it really has it all!
A night to remember at the Sambodromo where we watched 7 samba clubs strut their stuff. The show is unbelievable with thousands of costumed dancers, drummers and massive ornate floats. It takes 1.5 hours for each parade to pass! Quite a marathon! We left the parade still in full flow at 5.am!

Yesterday we went to pose with the beautiful people of Ipanema and Copacabana. The beaches were unbelievably crowded but Chris managed to play football- a dream come true!
Flying home tonight-see you all soon!
