We had originally planned to spend two weeks in Perth, but after travelling Oz for a while, we decided that staying in one place for two weeks just wasn't us anymore.  We arrived in Perth, somewhat happy about this decision.  It's not that Perth isn't a nice place, in fact quite the contrary, it's a lovely place, but it's just a city, and from our experiences cities are fly-by places.  So after a couple of days we made some enquiries and booked a campervan to travel up and down the west coast.  We still had a couple of days there so we relaxed and met up with a couple (Kevin and Sarah) that we had met on the Ayers Rock tour.  This included a tour of the famous Freemantle prison which was pretty cool. We also took a boat-ride over to Rottenest Island where we hired bikes and literally cycled to every corner of the island.  It was a wonderful day trip where Yaz and I discovered all sorts of lakes, lagoons, viewpoints and wildlife.....(another snake being our highlight).

Anyway, after a few days we picked up our campervan and set off on our adventure.  We had eight days to cover as much as possible...  We decided to head up north for a few days, up to Shark Bay which included the famous Monkey Mia, and then back down south to Margret River which is known for it's vinyards and wineries.  The campervan was pretty cool, it contained a fridge, a hob, a double bed and a sink.  This would be our home for the next week or so...
