You can't swing a painted Gheisa in this town without hitting a temple

The morning was a misfire.  I thought I was joining three young women to go to the market.  But they rejected me.  So I quickly recovered and took off for the Nijo castle only to find it was rejecting me too - at least on Tuesdays.  So I found this nearby studio of Yuzen dye works.  They have a workshop and I spent the remainder of the morning turning my rejections into fine art - on a T-shirt.

Reservations are necessary for the Katsura Imperial Villa and the Imperial palace of Kyoto.  Reservations also have to be made in person.  One of those funny bureaucratic processes.  Anyway my last day in Kyoto is booked.  I managed to hit up another two or was it three temples.  My favorite spot today was Kaijo temple which was a private residence and it remains very small and intimate.  The whole neighborhood is full of twisting streets full of interesting shops.

Nice photography! A Radish shop. Nice. Reminds me of the Scotch Tape store on Saturday Night Live, years ago... Did you take a picture of the shirt you did?
