Wasn't in that much of a hurry to leave Hopkins and got to the bus stop about 9.15.  There's only a few buses that go through Hopkins and no-one really knows when they go.  It's a case of turn up and wait.

I waited.  Got bored and hitched to the main road.  And waited.  Tried to hitch lifts to PG but didn't have much luck.  Either no-one stopped or they were only going about 2 miles down the road.  After 3 hours a bus to PG finally arrived and I was off!

View from a hill outside PG. A long trek (down the road above) and a steep, muddy climb through forest. Not really worth it, but it passed the time.

PG wasn't looking that great when I arrived.  Didn't really improve much after that to be honest.  It's OK but there's not that much to do and I can think of nicer places to spend a few days.  Had to wait until Monday for the boat to Livingston so wandered around town and then out to hill outside town which was recommended to me by some guy selling touristy crap.  The walk out was nice, through small native villages, and the walk up the hill was just damn hard work.  Really could have done with a machete.  The view from the top was OK, not great though but it killed a few hours.

Nature's Way Guest house isn't that nice.  And it's not the hammock swinging chill out place the Lonely Planet says it is.  The boat to Livingston was a lot more expensive than I was expecting (40 Belize), but hey.
