It's been a fun week in Sydney- this truly is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, in my opinion, plus there's a lot to do. I've basically just been roaming around the city- Suji's housemate lent me his bike which has been pretty fun. A bit dodgy, though, as they say here- there are basically no bike lanes in the city and what they do call a bike lane actually is where the cars park and they just have a little section with a bike painted on the ground. Pretty funny. I guess they have big plans over the next few years to put in bike lanes but for now it is, I'd have to say, one of the worst cities for riding- there are hardly any bikes on the road and probably for good reason- there's no where for them! Pretty interesting for such an otherwise seemingly hip city.

As for what else I've been up to, not much, really, and I like it! One day I took the bike on the train and went to the Royal National Park, about an hour south of here- very beautiful.
Suji and I went to the Opera House and saw a trippy dance performance, "Chunky Moves. We had a nice dinner there afterward- it really is a cool place with great views.
This weekend we rented a house in Kiama, about 2 hours south of here with several of her friends- hung out at the beach, sat by the pool, read, relaxed.

Today I fly to Cairns, home of the Great Barrier Reef , I'm looking forward to that, but what I am most excited about is the big splurge that I did, booking 3 nights on the "Spank Me", a former racing sailboat that will take me through the Whitsunday Islands. More on that later, for now enjoy the photos and don't forget to stay in touch.
