This place is absolutely spectacular, picture perfect.  Jeff and his 2 dogs, Sebastian and Harvest collected me dazed and confused at Reno Airport and we made the hour long drive around to Lake Tahoe.  It was pretty much spring conditions and they have had a pretty bad winter with only a few storms mainly in March but it did not take away from the beauty of the place.

I had the absolute good fortune (thanks to the snow gods) to have a significant change of weather come through on Monday afternoon and continued to dump 2 feet of snow in the next 12 hours.  We went out to one of the many fantastic restaurants and where we washed down Aahi Sashimi with some truly great Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley in California. Stepping back out into the carpark was amazing - so much snow, we let the dogs out on the way home so they could get some exercise in, from the photos you can guess that i was not too steady by then.
