Derek, Bob, Norm and I headed up to the Lakes today.  And I must say its one very beautiful part of the country.  Unfortunately the reason that there are lots of Lakes there is because of the rain and it did its best to prove that to me.

It bucketed down all day but it still didn't detract from the misty beauty of the area.  The stone walls edging all the fields and the narrow winding roads are piturescue to say the least.

We had lunch at the little pub called the Drunken Duck.  Possibly more aptly named the Drowned Duck on that day.

After another tour of the area around a few different lakes we headed back past Liverpool to see bright blue skies and a clear day - ahh well you can't win them all.

The Sharps and I went for a walk and stopped at a pub somewhere in town (still don't know which town I was staying in). It was cool but not freezing which was good.  My new coat was working well. Very beatifull looking at all the cottages which to me feel like they are out of a story book.
