After a night in a very comfortable bus my three friends and I arrived in Lomprayah at 5 am. We had to wait two hours for the catamaran to bring us to Ko Samui, but we spend the time enjoying the sunrise and watching the fishers getting ready for the day.

On the island a taxi was already waiting for us and drove us to our resort. there wasn´t much around and we were glad, that we only booked rooms for two nights. It´s a really great place to relax and enjoy the silents, but I need some action too. That´s why we stayed in a resort on the more busy Chaweng beach.

As sone as we arrived we rented a Seedo and rode the weaves, which was amazing!  One day we went on a day trip which encluded a visit to the famous "grandfather and grandmother rocks" (there was nothing to see from the female version, because the weaves were so high that you couldn´t get close , but the other rock was impressive enough!), an elephant ride, a swim in a waterfall, a ride up a mountain with a 4x4 jeep, a rubber plantation and finally a visit to the Big Buddha.

The elephant ride was a lot of fun and other than at my first one, I could sit on the elephants neck, which is the best way to actually enjoy this kind of touristic activity. Every thing else was great too and we had lots of impressions to think about on the way back.

Daniel, one of my friends got a really bad earache and went to the hospital on the island. He came back with a ton of pills and one of them was big as a fingernail and pink. After he took it he was acting like he had a sixpack singer beer and two tequillas! I really don´t wanna know what´s in all those pills you get so easy in this country!

The rest of the week we spendt on the beach reading, taking a walk, trying to bodysurf ( in which i really suck!) and going out at night. That´s an interesting point, because there is one really cool club on the island called "reggae pub". As you can imagine they are playing songs of Bob Marley and friends, but only until 2 am, which is the time we normally are warmed up and ready to party. The disaster is that at 2 am sharp the Dj jumps from reggae to techno and that a real partykiller. I´m sure Bob would turn over in his grave!

Never the less we had an awesome week and now I know why the people in "The beach" liked it there so much!
