The endless journey to Nuweiba

Of course I wake up super early feeling horrible. I threw up before I even got on the ferry. Just my luck the ferry was rather rocky, at least it had decent toilets! What should have been a beautiful ride from Sharm El Sheik to Nuweiba turned into my worst nightmere as I had to ask the bus to stop so I could throw up in the Sinai desert on the way. Not pleasant. We arrived after what felt like  week and I immediately got to know the shared toilets at the Sawa base camp, where we would be for the next 2 days. Great time to have to share a toilet with everyone - no? I climbed into my little hut and slept for 12 hours.

The next morning I woke up with the sun and watched it rise above the mountains of Saudi Arabia, as this was what we were looking at across the Red Sea. Saudi Arabia is really close! I felt hungry, which was a good thing but I am extremely bummed because I can't make it scuba diving with everyone today and I really wanted to go! Instead I kicked back on the beach and enjoyed the warm sun. After resting up I went snorkeling with my tour mate because about 30' from our beach there was an incredible coral reef where the ocean dropped off about 15' and there was this continuous wall of coral with tons of fish swimming around....amazing! I've never seen anything like it! Now I am really bummed that I missed swimming amongst them!

That night was our Bedouin feast, I was still not feeling well but managed to try some chicken. That night was the worst yet for me and I was dreading our drive to Mt. Sinai and St. Katherines....
