I started the day by repacking my bag (dirty clothes at the bottom), how organised am I!!!! After checking out of the Hostel I headed for the now obligitory cooked breakie (going to the same place I went first time, cos it's closest!) then onto the bus stop where I had to get a bus to the Airport, then hopped onto another bus from the airport to the ferry port. After a quick phone call home I boarded the ferry, and went up on deck. The scenery wasn't that impressive going out of Vancouver (you could just see the ferry port, which is a fair way from the city), but pretty quickly we were sailing down the side of Vancouver Island, which was amazing.

The scenery is sooo beautiful, pine covered mountains falling into the sea, the water is so clear, but looks like it'd freeze you!! I was hoping to see a whale, but the best I saw was an otter, or it might have been a seal (do otters live at sea?!?). I got chatting to a welsh couple who I met on deck, and they were amazed I'd managed to get from Vancouver to Victoria for a less than $20, they'd been dupped into paying $70 each to take the coach!!! Suckers!! After they'd buggered off, a bit peed off, I got chatting to this girl from Calgary who was on here way to see her mum in Victoria. She was cool and she gave me her number and said if I wanted to meet up while in Victoria to give her a ring....which was nice!! Might be something to do!! Anyhow, my conversation with her was cut short by the fact we'd arrived, so I got off the boat and headed to the bus stop where I got a bus into Victoia, which took about 45minutes or so!!

Victoria is VERY different from Vancouver, you can really feel the British influence here. It could be a UK town!! Well, city....its the capital of British Columbia. Once I'd jumped off the bus in the town centre, I headed straight for the Hostel (after picking up a map)....luckily it was only a 5 minute walk! The hostel is cool, and the people are sound (mostly hippy types!). Once I'd put my bags down and made my bed up (they dont make it for you here, but for 6quid a night its hardly a problem!!). I then headed up to the balcony area on the roof for a fag, and found the rest of the 'guests' up there smoking weed...YESSS!!!!!! So I shared a few spliffs with them and had a chat (they're mostly canadians from east canada who have come over to the west to work, it's easier to find a job over here apparently), then I headed into the town center in search of food and an internet connection( the computer broken at the hostel). The first internet place i found was crap because i couldnt connect my camera, so I just sent a couple of emails then headed further into the town center to find another one. I'm here now...Gamer geek central!!!!!

So once I've finished here I think I'll stroll down to the harbour for some food....maybe fish! Then back up to the hostel...maybe spliffs!
Anyhow, tomorrow I hope to go whale watching, so I'll go down to the harbour and see what the prices are like!! Apparently this time of year is the best time to see whales so I might be lucky!!!
Cool, well Ill keep y'all updated.
BYE!!
