21.43 – Well, today has been yet another excellent day. The weather has been good and I have been able to just kick back and relax. The people I met last night have gone now and so is the chocolate we bought! I did some more kayaking, continued to read my book and of course I watched a fair bit of TV. Other than that though, I don’t have much to report. Paul, the person who owns the lodge, took me up to his kiwi orchards and showed me how it all works. Most of the kiwis have been picked now but there is still a lot of work to be done. It’s for this reason that he offered me a job I think. I don’t really fancy doing any fruit picking or any other shit jobs like that though so I will have to turn his offer down! Later on in the evening, the Kiwi bus arrived with another 6 people on it so most of my evening was spent getting to know them. That was fine by me though and they turned out to be pretty cool people. There were a couple of rugby games on last night so we watched those. The Kiwi’s lost to the Kangaroo’s unfortunately but the Chiefs beat the Stormers. We then went to bed but we ended up having some really weird and shit conversations about paying for sex and morals etc. These lasted until about 01.30 before we finally decided to go to sleep.
