B had to make a trip out to Nth Wales and I thought hey! Ive never been to Wales so good opportunity without being on a tour for a day and great opportunity to take some beautiful piccies.

4 or so hours in each direction and plenty of choice for music and goodies on the way, we set off via North London, Northampton, and Birmingham.

Kebabs, Welsh People and Mountain Backdrops

Wales was gorgeous! Arriving just on dusk and the sea looked beautiful (living in london, you don't get to see the ocean very often!)...took some fab piccies (posting them here shortly) and came back via some strangely named little towns like Llangollen, Bewtsy Coed (gorgeous - would LOVE to own a holiday house here - so scenic) and Llandudno...everything seems to be spelt with a double L or double something! ah well, nothing wrong with being different!

Yes we felt lost on the way back - the A55 and A5 don't give you much to work with in terms of places of significance (though we did pass a sign named To The Ugly House up a scary scary hairy driveway on a mountainside little road), or lights or signage as to where you are or where you should be going but hey, an adventure isn't complete without a few suprises and a lot of mystery!

So we're down to our last 50miles of petrol in the tank and none and I mean, NONE of the servo's we pass are open - NONE OF THEM!... the MINUTE we cross back into England, what do we find? A BP complete with a starbucks every few miles that runs 24/7!!!! Nothing wrong with being different but being backward doesn't really help tourism now does it!

Ah beautiful!

We drove back via Birmingham and stopped to get THE BEST KEBABS in the world - I actually just finished eating mine as Im writing this entry and I can tell you - yes, my mouth is on fire (a little spice doesn't kill anyone though does it!), and yes im already full but only halfway through - this is up there in the TOP 3 kebabs Ive ever had in my entire life....another one is the one we have in Aldgate down the road with the fabulous sauce and the third one - well, too hard to decide but this particular beauty was FANTASTIC!!!!

All in all - lots of gorgeous little towns, beautiful cairns, full tummies, smiling faces, mountain backdrops and a lovely sunset to remember!
