Back to where it started - Amsterdam

Our

final day and its going to be sad to leave everyone. However, before we do, we

have a full day in Amsterdam. We depart our hotel in Germany bound for

Amsterdam.

We arrive in Amsterdam noon and head to the diamond factory to see how diamonds

are shaped and cut. After the demonstration we are lead to a high security room

and shown some pieces of diamonds, some of which exceed 150,000 euros.

At times like these, you wish you were rich. We are given some free time to try

on some of the jewelry before it was out of there to wonder around until our

next scheduled tour and that is a city tour, followed by a canal cruise.

The canal cruise finishes in 1 hr and we head over to Dam Street, the main

street in Amsterdam for some shopping as Lyn, Rebecca and I weave in and out of

souvenir shops buying more things.

Time passes us by and it was now time to meet up with the group for our dinner

at a Dutch Restaurant in the city.

leads us through alleyways until we reach the location which is a nice

restaurant, very pleasant with good staff. Unfortunately, I’ve forgotten the

name, but the night was spent say our good bye to our fellow travelers.

Before we head back on the coach, Earl takes us through the red light district.

As you head through the strong smell of the smokers and also the mannequin

looking ladies in their booth, just makes you think, Amsterdam is one very

interesting place.

We board the bus after our experience in Amsterdam and head to our hotel, which

is nicely located, near the airport.

We check in and arranged to meet at the hotel bar for final drinks. The hotel

bar was great all decked out with big screens with music playing as we have

farewell drinks till the early morning.

It was then back to the hotel to pack up bound for home.
