Departing Fiji is hard!

From here it is back to reality... teacher inservices, expense reports and family responsibilities! However, many times I've wished to have my family share these memories with me.

I am speechless as we fly over the incredible islands of FIji and view the majestic reefs from above!

At 12:45pm, I board the small plane for the beginning of the the end of my journey! Once again I am speechless as we fly over the incredible islands of FIji and view the majestic reefs from above!

A look at a river shows how settlements grow where there is a source of water. Again I'm amazed at the geography of the land;the many canyons, evidence of volcanic eruptions etc.

Arriving in Nadi, I pick up my left luggage and I take a day room for several hours at Raffles. This way, I can repack my bags, shower, get something to eat and finish any last minute shopping. I take a taxi to Jack's for a few last bargains! Taxi fare is only $9FJ roundtrip. The driver even tells me he will wait for me! (No extra charge)

These planes sure have style!

I guess it's time to settle back for a final, long, long 10 hour flight to Los Angeles and then one final flight home to Houston.
