Well, we finally did it.  We had a normal, relatively pleasant bus ride.  Didn't think it could happen, but apparently miracles never cease.  We made it into Dalat safe and sound after a twisty, turny, wonderfully scenic trip from HCMC into the Central Highlands.  A couple of Easy Riders found us where the bus dropped us, and helped us find a very nice guest house.  (The Easy Riders are a bunch of tour guides on motorbikes.)  Jen survived her first trip on the back of a motorbike!  Our Riders tried to sell us on a 5-day trip around the Central Highlands, which looked fantastic, but $65USD/day per person was unfortunately not in our budgets.  Next time, though...  We did sign up for a one day trip around Dalat.  Flower farms, coffee fields, silk worms, waterfalls, a dragon pagoda and a crazy house, and getting caught in the rain on the back of a bike, amongst other things.  Pictures will be attached.

After our Easy Rider trip, we hooked up with Groovy Gecko Tours to go on a one-day trek.  18k up and down a mountain.  They said it was challenging.  They didn't lie, but the view from the top was impressive.  The one sore spot was the complete and total lack of bathrooms along the way.  It's a pine forest.  Pine trees are narrow.  Think about it.  There was true potential for disaster, narrowly avoided.
