Leaving Mainz, onto Munich

On our 3rd day we headed to Munich, via Rothenberg. Rothenberg was about 2 or 3 hours from Munich and was a little town that consisted of a long street leading uphill to the main square of the town, from there the town broke off into residential areas. This was a storybook little town, complete with life size teddy bears standing near the doorways of most of the shops, we really were not sure what this was about

We made our way through the town and into the main square where we climbed the church tower to get a view over the entire city. This was not a tower for those that are claustrophobic or afraid of heightslets just say that this definitely would not have flied in the US or come anywhere near passing safety regulations. the top of the tower was large enough for about 10 people AT THE MOST to be up there at once and you had to crawl up this ladder and out the door and then make your way in a circle around the tower for a full 360 degree view before making your way back down the ladder. The view however was quite breathtaking; you could see all of the town and surrounding countryside which was very lunch and green!! I loved it here as well!!!
