Flight is at 9:15 am. The kids did GREAT!!! They loved it. Sam spent half of the time watching TV with his headphones and the other half studying the "what to do in an emergency" pamphlet they tuck behind in the back of the seats. He was fascinated with it. Beth moved from seat to seat until she spilled her orange juice in my lap. Thank goodness we were in the last row... right next to the bathroom! Livvie laughed almost the entire way there. It was so funny because when we got to cruising speed she said, "Aunt Tara why did we stop?" She couldn't feel us move anymore and the clouds were below us, not whizzing by so she thought we had stopped. Later when we landed she was a little confused and asked why we were on the ground. She explained to me that she thought Disney was in the clouds not on the ground. How's that for magic?? :)

We landed ahead of schedule, around 11:40. We then caught the "Magical Express" that Disney runs from the airport. We checked into our beautiful resort, Port Orleans The French Quarter. It's very nice. The pool is great. We did end up getting conjoined rooms. The kids love it and we do too (It kind of feels like a suite!) Upon checking in our luggage had not arrived in our rooms yet so we had lunch. Everything here is New Orleans and Mardi Gras. There are huge masks and all sorts of crazy things hanging from the ceiling. We got to our table and Livvie wasn't eating. When I asked her why, she whispered that she was scared of the dinning room. Understandably so! Once we moved outside all was better and we had a nice lunch together.

Our bags arrived so Brian took the kids for and walk along the river and then a boat ride while Rachel and I unpacked. We all headed over to the Magic Kingdom after a little freshening up and a slathering of sunscreen. We took the bus ride to the main gate. Beth LOVES that she is a "big" girl because she doesn't have to ride in her car seat.
We walked in the MK in just the right time because a show was starting on the steps of the castle. All the main characters were there... singing and dancing. The kids loved it. The princesses, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, and Maleficent was there too. Their faces were priceless during the pyrotechnics and confetti in the air. It really was a wonderful welcome. We only went on a couple of rides... the lines were long, kids tired, it was really hot. Rachel and I took the girls on the teacups. We all went on a small roller coaster... they all loved it! They were so cute. Later we saw Pooh and Tigger. We will have a better plan of action when we go back later.

Came back to the hotel for a dip in the pool. My cousin Becky and her husband Adam came for a nice visit. Adam took Rachel and Brian to the grocery store for a few things. We are well stocked on snacks and drinks!
Rae and Brian went to get something to eat while I type away. The kids are asleep. Beth and Livvie decided they wanted together. Tomorrow is Sea World. Also, I will try to write every night and include pictures but don't hold me to it. I'm tired! Wish you could all be here with us. ~Tara
