Santorini
After finally arriving in Santorini we took in our beautiful surroundings among the cliffs and sea. It is so beautiful here.
We walked around a little bit and bought some water and beer from a little shop. I wasn’t feeling good so I went back to read and sleep. The girls bought some groceries and then we just relaxed and went to sleep.

Santorini
It rained ALL day today! Figures. We are on one of the most beautiful islands in the world and it rained our last day here. Haha. None of us really minded though. Mandy woke up this morning with a migraine and I have been sick so traveling around in the rain wasn’t on my list of things to do. We got up this morning to use the internet and kind of hung out and I continued to read a book I was reading. We decided to order in Chinese and Pizza and relax and drink the two bottles of wine we had. We had a really good time and just talked. Mandy, Amanda, and Liz watched a movie while I worked on my papers due soon and wrote my blog. Our original plan for today was to rent ATV’s for the day and cruise around the island much like Liz and I did in Aegina not too long ago (another Greek island). I’m honestly losing track of the times and days and have no idea where I was when. Our three week trip to Europe is going to be in INSANE!!! We are really going to be messed up then. I CAN’T WAIT! We also planned to see the sunset, supposedly one of the best sunsets in the world, but that obviously didn’t work out, oh well guess I’ll have to come back someday!! Tomorrow we leave our hostel at 6:10 am for the port and then get on a ferry, that is EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE for eight hours and then make our way for the Piraeus port to Athens airport where our 1:15 am flight to Larnaca was cancelled. Haha figures. There we are going to try and get on an earlier flight at 9:30 pm. If so we will be back in Cyprus before midnight and back in Nicosia before midnight. If not we are going to stay in the airport all night and get on our replacement 6am flight...yikes! Regardless, Cyprus will greet us with a wonderful water shortage where our water tanks are only refilled on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Good times!!!! I am soooooo happy I only have to be in Cyprus for another two weeks and then off to travel again. These next two weeks include writing two papers, studying for finals, Liz’s and Asher’s 22nd and 21st Birthday and finally 5 finals and then I am done with my undergraduate degree!!!!!! Wow, it went fast! Law school here I come!
SUNDAY April 6th- the travel day from hell!
we got up 5, left santorini at 6am. we took an 8 hour ferry ride to Pireaus. An hour and half metro ride to the airport. Our flight was supposed to leave at 1:15am but was cancelled and we were given another ticket for 6am on Monday morning. We couldnt do that because we had class so we figured it would be easy to change to an earlier flight. Wow, we were wrong. We stood in line at the ticket counter for about an hour, but it wasn't really a line because nobody in Greece were ever taught single file lines as children so there was a mass of people cluttered together. People were missing planes left and right and the massive mess of people turned quickly into a riot. IM NOT JOKING! liz and I, two small American girls were surrounded by people who spoke a million different languages and were yelling at each other. One guy pushed me to try and get in front of me and I wasn't having any of it, so he pushed me again and thankfully another guy saw and got mad and pushed that guy. It was a mess!!!! Upon finally reaching the counter, the ticket lady told us she gave us tickets for 6:45pm, it was now 6:15 and that we should run and check-in and get on the plane. When we got to check-in, we found the tickets were for 24 hours later, the next day!!! So now we had a plane ticket 12 hours after our scheduled leave time and we were mad! We went back to the riot line which had calmed down because security arrived and we were given tickets for 9:30pm that night, which was way better than when we started so we were all happy and ready to get back to Cyprus. What a mess!!!! haha
